Since this horrible day. I still remember everything about it. The call from Levi. The smell of the hand sanitizer entering the Critical Care Unit. Not caring about being buzzed into the unit and just waltzing in.. the waiting room/living room area.. the amazing people we met.. the day I walked in and he was responding by raising his eyebrows up and down. The Uni cafeteria and the 30 pounds it freely gave my hips (pssht).. The many, many peeps that came to see us, prayed for us and gave us their shoulders to cry on. The prayers in the middle of the busy hallway and knowing it had to work. Priesthood blessings. Medical science and what a miracle it all is. The games we played, the kids sleeping on blankets on the floor, movies, laptops, snacks (mostly crap food- hence the 30).. the long drive to the U- denting MOm's car in my time of crisis (sorry Ma).. Finally getting discharged. The Intervention.. The Ranch.. AA friends and support..
and here he is today...
What a miracle he is. Our lives have been blessed to have him with us still. Sissy loves her Papa and I can't imagine what life would be without him. Good job Dad- we are so proud of you! 1 year down and a million more to go!
